These terms cover the moving services Moving Day Movers provides and the quotes and bookings made through this website or by phone. By hiring us, you agree to the terms below. They don’t replace the written estimate and order for service you sign for your specific move; if anything here conflicts with that signed paperwork, the paperwork controls.
Estimates, Quotes, and Deposits
A non-binding estimate is our best projection of your cost based on the information you give us; the final charge can change if the actual move differs from what we were told. A binding written quote, which we use for long-distance moves, locks in a fixed price for the scope described. A $130 deposit reserves your date and is applied to your final balance. If you cancel, we ask for reasonable notice — generally at least 48 hours before your scheduled date — so we can re-book the slot; deposits for late cancellations or no-shows may be forfeited.
Liability, Coverage, and Governing Law
Our standard coverage is released value at $0.60 per pound per article, included at no extra charge. You may instead choose full-value protection, which costs more and covers items at their replacement value subject to the terms of that option. We are not responsible for items you pack yourself unless the damage results from our handling, nor for pre-existing damage, normal wear, or items of extraordinary value you did not declare. Claims must be filed in writing within the period stated in your move paperwork. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be handled in the appropriate Texas courts.
