Wade Brennan grew up in the DFW suburbs and never really left. Before he started this company, he spent years on the back of trucks for the big national van lines — the kind with the recognizable logo and the toll-free number — working crews across Texas and beyond. He saw how those moves actually went on the ground, and a pattern stuck with him: moving day was almost always the worst day of the whole process. The crew rolled in late, half the team had never met the other half, and the bill at the end never matched the friendly number from the sales call.
In 2015 he decided he could run it differently, and Moving Day Movers opened in Carrollton with one stubborn idea behind it.
Why We Do It This Way
The name is the whole promise. Wade’s goal was to make the day you actually move the easy day — the day everything is already quoted, scheduled, and staffed, so nothing about it is a surprise. That means a flat price written down before we lift anything, our own trucks instead of a borrowed trailer, and a crew that shows up at the front of the window, not the back of it. We hire movers full-time, put them in uniform, and keep them long enough to get good. Most of our crew chiefs have been here for years, which is the opposite of how the van-line jobs usually worked.
Licensed, Insured, and Ours
We are not a broker and we don’t farm your move out to whoever answers the phone. The roughly seven trucks in our lot are ours, and the dozen or so movers who run them are on our payroll. For household moves around Texas we keep our registration current with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, which oversees household-goods movers in the state, and for moves that cross state lines we carry US DOT and MC authority for interstate work. Every shipment is covered, with up to a million dollars in cargo protection available and full-value coverage offered on top of the standard released-value option. The short version: when you hire Moving Day Movers, the people, the trucks, and the paperwork all belong to the same company — the one whose name is on the truck.
